The Iyer-Biswas scaling laws
Shown here are two perspectives on stochastic growth and division of individual cells, using actual experimental data. The horizontal perspective is the conventional one, in which growth curves (cell size vs. time), increase exponentially, from blue to red, as the cell grows from blue (just following previous division) to red (just prior to next division). The vertical perspective shows the same figure, redrawn with insights from my work, namely, that when mean-rescaled, the cell-size distributions at all instants are identical.
